Rüfüs To Perform At the Coolangatta Hotel
By Benjamen Judd
Sydney-based dance band extraordinaire, Rüfüs, are coming to the Gold Coast on Friday, May 9. BAM (drops mic).
Seriously though, if you are unaware of Rüfüs that’s really unfortunate because they are, in our humble and honest opinion (an opinion that also knows what’s best for you) one of the funnest gatherings of talent in the Australian music industry today. We emphasise the word fun, because how could anything about indie disco NOT be fun?
After their premier studio album, Atlas, debuted at number one on the Australian charts last August, Rüfüs has been riding on the wave of pop-culture success that has been buoyed by the latest release, Sundream, only last month.
The lads of Rüfüs have already had a big start to the year, blowing crowds away at this years Falls Creek and Big Day Out festivals, scored 3 songs in the Hottest 100 and have spent March and April touring the U.S and Europe. They return to Australia in May to take their live show around the country on their Worlds Within Worlds tour. Their biggest tour to date, this will be the last time RÜFÜS will tour their #1, gold selling debut record ATLAS before returning with new material. These will also be their last Australian shows before they relocate to the other side of the atlas to tour and start work on their follow up record in Berlin. Having sold out their last 17 shows, tickets are not expected to last…
Rüfüs will perform at the Coolangatta Hotel on Friday, May 9.
