Saimma Miller has been a naturopath for over 10 years and has recently released a book titled ‘The Aussie Body Diet & Detox Plan’. It’s based around the simple things that we Aussie’s value the most – work-life balance, the great outdoors and fresh produce.
“I always ask my clients what they want. I find it really interesting that people tend to want the same things – to look and feel better, to have more energy, to lose weight, to feel more calm and happy. Basically we want to find out how to be our best”, says Miller.
A few of the secrets to success include: drinking lots of water, positive thinking and wholesome foods.
To point you in the right direction we have this yummy ‘Breakfast-to-go Smoothie’ recipe from Saimma’s book. This smoothie uses oats to add extra fibre and help you feel fuller for longer.Simply combine and blend the following and drink up!
- 1 banana
- ½ cup rice/almond/quinoa/oat milk
- 2 tbsp sheep or goat milk yoghurt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp oat bran
- ½ tsp raw honey (optional)
- 1 tsp chia seeds
