TAKE A BREAK WITH THE HOLIDAYS

It is a well known fact that the Gold Coast is one of the best holiday destinations in Australia…whatever the other ones are we aren’t too sure because they are so far behind us they don’t even register. But we’re sure they’re fun too. Just not as fun as us. And they don’t have that other best things in Australia, The Holidays, performing at in their neighbourhood this coming Thursday, March 6.

After forming in 2006, the Sydney-based boys were quick to take the indie music scene by the proverbials. With numerous shout outs from critics including Album of the Week with Drum Media and being shortlisted for the Australian Music Prize The Holidays have featured at some of he country’s best events such as the prestigious Indie-fest Laneway Festival and Splendour In the Grass.

To celebrate the release of their latest album, Real Feel, The Holidays have announced a national tour kicking off here at our very own Elsewhere social club.

Having already given fans a preview with the release of singles Voices Drifting and current single All Time High, both tracks give an insight into the mood and feel of The Holidays’ evolving sound and second album; an offering that was painstakingly created over two years across countless cities and continents.

The debut album Post Paradise captivated both listeners and critics landing the Red Bull Award for Best Debut as part of 2011’s Australian Music Prize and Best Album at The Age’s annual EG Awards in 2010 on top of headline and festival dates in the UK and USA following a sold out Australians performances.
